Erin E. Bessey

Erin Bessey is the owner and sole trainer at Bessey's Positive Paws, a dog training company in Maine. Bessey's Positive Paws offers in person sessions by appointment in a 1100 sq ft building as well as virtual sessions nationwide! Bessey’s Positive Paws promotes family friendly training methods that children and adults of all ages can use. Erin strives to combine contemporary knowledge with scientifically proven training techniques to create a safe, positive environment in which owner’s and dogs can learn to live harmoniously together.
Erin has a BS in Zoology from the University of Maine and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - knowledge assessed since 2011. Before taking her dog training career full time, Erin dedicated 14 years working at a local veterinary clinic. Erin has also raised three dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. During her free time Erin can be found spending time with her own dogs, her husband and kids, at the horse barn, or curled up in a cozy chair with a book.
