Anja Ballwieser

Anja Ballwieser is very proud to be the first CPDT-KSA in Germany. She loves living and learning with animals. Anja runs Ballwieser Animal Training, located at the foothills of the Alps, close to Munich, Germany.

Happy and healthy human and animal learners are Anja’s first priority. She works with modern training techniques, relies on the science of behavior change, and loves to find creative training solutions.

As a movie animal trainer, Anja loves the challenge of finding new and inventive solutions for each media project. She aspires to prepare her animals intensively for each individual job; she is goal-oriented and works precisely on set. Anja is always focused on the welfare of her animals and strives to fulfill their physical and mental needs. With Anja, the animals are active partners in the training process.

Anja loves to share her passion for the art and science of animal training with professional animal trainers through workshops and coachings that she offers.

Anja holds an MSc with distinction in applied animal behavior and training. She is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP), and a certified dog trainer through the Veterinary Council Lower Saxony. Anja is a lifelong learner, and considers it important to continue her international education. She loves to connect with fellow animal trainers!

She lives at the foothills of the Alps with her husband, their two kids, dogs, cats, and a flock of chickens.
