Mary Torrano, MA Physiology & Behavioral Biology, CPDT-KA provides individual and group instruction for those seeking to better understand and communicate with their dogs. A variety of training opportunities are available, all using positive reinforcement (R+) methods as outlined by the Pet Professional Guild (PPG). Successful training experiences must begin with a dog and handler team that feels "safe, calm, and happy". The foundational 3 C's: Connection, Clarity, and Confidence provide the foundation for all skill building. Group classes in STAR puppy, AKC CGC (all levels), Farm Dog, Trick Dog, FIT Dog, and Rally Obedience are offered multiple times a week in a variety of public locations. Private instruction includes private instruction for single and multi-dog households, take & train for socialization, home-stay training towards specific goals, and matching local shelter fosters with adoptees and continued support for new owners. Special courses offered include Therapy Dog certification, Service Dog task training, and Cooperative Care. Weekly group walks are provided at a variety of locations for clients and their families.
