Karyn Hickey

For the past 7 years I've thrown myself head first into the world of dog training. I got my start in the behavior department of a local animal shelter, working with at-risk dogs and teaching them how to be the best versions of themselves so they too could find their forever homes. In spring of 2022 I graduated from The Karen Pryor Academy as a Certified Training Partner and focus on using positive reinforcement and relationship based training methods!

My passion is helping dogs and their owners work through a multitude of issues to live peaceful lives together and to keep dogs out of shelters. I offer assistance with leash manners, counter surfing, reactivity, basic obedience, tricks and more. Whether it be private one-on-one in home sessions, day training packages, on-the-town outings, or nature hikes I am here to help you and your dog live your best lives.

I currently service the Louisville Metro area and surrounding counties as well as Southern Indiana. I have three dogs of my own who are all rescues from animal shelters and foster for The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association. My personal dogs are active in obedience and have been titled in Barn Hunt, AKC's Canine Good Citizen program, and AKC's Trick Dog program.
